Swedish thrash metal masters MEZZROW was formed in 1987 and quickly gained recognition and popularity in the metal scene of the late eighties. Most of all for the unique blend of powerful riffs and aggressive vocals, but also for an unwavering commitment to the authenticity of (American) thrash metal. The album ”Then came the killing” from 1990 is nowadays considered as one of Sweden’s absolute best thrash metal album from the past! Sadly the way was lost and they called it a day in 1993. 30 years later the band re-emerged and are now more hungry than ever!
The new era began in 2023 with the album ”Summon Thy Demons”, which was very well-received among media in general and the band had the privilege of sharing stage with notable bands during these last years such as: Exodus, Dark Tranquillity, Asphyx, Coroner, Myrkur, Blood Red Throne, Candlemass and many more. A new album has now been released, ”Embrace the Awakening” on November 14th 2025, which has gone down really great overall and has taken the band to the next level. It marked a clear progression in the right areas and now the writing process for the next album has actually begun. The future feels bright!
