Since their foundation in 2011 the 3 musicians live the dirty, loud and wicked Rock'n Roll. NITROGODS rocks every stage into the ground, old style, just plug and play. Honest, handmade rock'n'roll that is literally a merciless "ass kicking" !
The trio around the extraordinary frontman and singer Oimel Larcher(Vocals/Bass), an absolutely authentic Rock'n'Roller, who stands vocally and also in volume right next to the legend Lemmy Kilminster. The ex-Thunderhead and Primal Fear musicians Henny Wolter(Guitar/Vocals) and Klaus Sperling(Drums) complete the trio.
With their debut album NITROGODS, released in 2012 on Steamhammer / SPV, they also inspired musician greats like Nazareth singer Dan McCafferty and Motörhead guitarist Fast Eddie Clarke, who can be heard logically on songs like Whiskey Wonderland and Wasted in Berlin.
In the fall of 2014 the second album "Rats and Rumours" was released, a completely analog produced album to present the dirty rock'n'roll as authentic as possible. The album lasted 10 weeks in the official German Metal Rock Charts.
In the years 2015 & 2016 have followed countless and successful club and festival shows. So they played among others at the Rock Harz Festival, the Bang Your Head Festival, the Rock'n'Roll Train Festival in France and a show in Moscow.
As a special thank you for the fans, a vinyl single limited to 450 units was released in 2016 with the previously unreleased song: Mayhem.
In May 2017 the third longplayer "Roadkill BBQ" was released worldwide by Steamhammer / SPV. An absolute highlight in the young history of the band, the album placed in the official German album charts at number 63. This success gave the opportunity for the first headliner tour, which the fans enthusiastically accepted with some sold out shows.
In 2019 Nitrogods moved to Massacre Records to release the 4th album "Rebel Dayz" worldwide on 21.06.2019. The success of the placement in the German album charts on Pos.46 proved the band right and they went on the next headlining tour with the familiar fellows from Psychpunch.
If no more live concerts were allowed to be played (Corona), the time was used to fulfill the fans' wish of a live album. Recorded concerts were chosen and then after the typical supply chain difficulties of the time in 2022 they released the double live album: 10 Years Of Crap.
The following tour with Phil Campbell and the bastard sons, finally after 2 postponements, showed that NITRGODS perfectly handles the dirty rock'n'roll and not unjustly are compared inevitably with the greatness Motörhead. An honor for the band, that will now start the production of their 5th longplayer, release planned in autumn 2024.
