
JAIRO “TORMENTOR” GUEDZ
Born on November 25, 1968, in João Monlevade (MG), the guitarist debuted in 1984 with Manthas, a band paying tribute to Mercyful
Fate. He later met the brothers Max (vocals and guitar) and Igor Cavalera (drums) and Paulo Jr. (bass). It didn’t take long for him to
join Sepultura, recording the EP “Bestial Devastation” (1985) and the album “Morbid Visions” (1986), featuring his signature track
“Troops of Doom.” After touring and contributing to the compositions for the next album, “Schizophrenia,” he left in 1987, replaced by
Andreas Kisser. In 1990, he joined The Mist, recording “The Hangman Tree” (1991), “...Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust...” (EP, 1993), and
“Gottverlassen” (1995). In 1998, invited to join Overdose, he toured for a year, promoting the album “Scars” released in the USA and
Europe. After the band’s dissolution in 1999, he joined Eminence, touring Europe and Latin America for six years and recording their
second album, “Humanology.” In 2004, he spent time in El Paso/Texas (USA), where he was invited by Al Jourgensen to replace Paul
Barker (bass) in Ministry. Although rehearsals took place, the collaboration was postponed for unforeseen reasons. In 2010, Guedz took
on the role of bassist in the Metallica Cover Brazil tribute band, formed in 1990. More recently, he created The Southern Blacklist, an
original project in the composition phase for its debut, and The Troops Of Doom. Jairo Guedz is the father of two sons: Igor (31 years old)
and Érico (25 years old). He also has a grandson, Francisco (3 years old). In addition to his musical career, he is a student of World War
II, dedicating part of his time to the memory of Brazilian war veterans. Furthermore, he is passionate about plastic modeling, creating
miniature scale models of elements from major wars and their scenarios. Jairo also dedicates himself to his brand, United Satans Of
America, set to enter the market soon.
MARCELO VASCO
Born on June 29, 1979, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), the guitarist began his musical studies in the 80s at the age of 9, starting with the guitar.
Later, he shifted to the electric guitar and delved into the world of heavy metal. However, his career took off in the early 1990s when
he participated in various bands and gained recognition with the black metal band Mysteriis in 1999, releasing the debut album “About
The Christian Despair,” now considered a national classic of the genre. Vasco is also the mastermind behind bands like Patria, as well as
musical projects such as Le Chant Noir, Demoniac Harvest, among others. A longtime friend of Jairo “Tormentor” Guedz, he was invited
to share guitar duties in The Troops of Doom. In addition to the guitar, Marcelo Vasco gained worldwide fame for his work as a graphic
artist, creating artwork for legendary bands such as Slayer, Kreator, Machine Head, Dee Snider, Soulfly, Dark Funeral, Hatebreed, among
hundreds of others.
ALEX KAFER
Born on February 7, 1970, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Alex Kafer began his career in 1988 as the drummer
for the thrash metal band Necromancer. With the group, he recorded the demo-tapes “Science of Fear” (1993) and “Victims of Deranged
Maneuverings” (1996), along with the first album, “Forbidden Art” (2014). He was also responsible for recording the bass and guitar
solos for the debut. Apart from Necromancer, he joined the death metal band Genetic Deformation in 1993 as a drummer, recording the
demo-tape “Contaminated World” and a 7” EP titled “Gates of Eternal Suffering.” In 1996, he formed the black metal band Songe D’Enfer
but did not record any material. Two years later, he was invited to join the Mysteriis black metal band as a bassist, a role he still holds,
contributing to albums like “About The Christian Despair” (1999), “Fuck in The Name of God” (2000), and “Hellsurrection” (2012). In
2007, Kafer joined Darkest Hate Warfront as a guitarist, recording the CD “The Aftermath.” Subsequently, in 2009, he became a member
of the thrash metal band Explicit Hate, recording the promo-tape “Population Zero.” In 2011, he participated in the recording of the EP
“The Other Gods” with the death metal band Coldblood. Since 2006, Kafer has been part of the death/black metal band Enterro as a
vocalist and bassist, recording albums like “Nunc Scio Tenebris ux” (2008) and “The Bells of Leprous” (2011). In addition, from 2008
to 2012, he played as a guest musician in bands like Matanza, Pátria, Mustang, and Usina Le Blond, the last two being projects of Carlos
Lopes, founder of Dorsal Atlântica. With Matanza, he participated as a guitarist in the “A Arte do Insulto” (2008) tour. In 2020, he was
invited by Jairo Guedz to be the vocalist and bassist of The Troops of Doom.
ALEXANDRE OLIVEIRA
Born on October 30, 1988, in Belo Horizonte (MG), Alexandre Oliveira began his musical education in 2003 when he started studying
drumming at the Harmony Music school. With over 10 years of experience as a drumming instructor, he has worked in various spaces
such as Harmony Music, Espaço Som, Monkey Studio, and currently at Emes, School of Rock, providing private lessons. Oliveira has been
part of bands spanning different genres (rock, metal, pop, jazz, ska, MPB), winning the Prêmio Mineiro de Música Independente (PMMI)
in 2009 with bands Dilúvio and Nihil. Besides appearing on various TV programs on networks like Rede Globo, MTV, Rede Minas, Just
TV, Band, among others, he has toured several states in Brazil (MG, SP, RJ, DF, GO, ES, PI), sharing the stage with recognized bands and
national and international artists. In 2010, he moved to São Paulo to pursue a career in music and expand his knowledge, working in
studios teaching drumming and recording for bands and solo artists. Four years later, he returned to Belo Horizonte, where he partnered
with the Monkey studio, becoming a partner and working as a studio musician, recording for numerous bands and artists. In the same
year, he became a member of the metal band Raising Conviction, and in 2015, he accepted the invitation to join The Southern Blacklist.
He also became a member of the long-standing band Tianastácia in 2015, which has over 20 years of history. In 2018, Oliveira auditioned
among almost 200 students and was chosen for one of the twenty spots in the drumming course at the Universidade Popular de Música
Brasileira - Bituca. In 2019, he was invited to be part of the band of Rio de Janeiro pop artist Kamatos. In parallel, he created a pop/rock
acoustic project called Miniband in 2020, which aims to perform in commercial spaces and private events. In 2020, he was recruited by
Jairo Guedz to join The Troops Of Doom.
